Despite repeated mental notes to myself not to wear a skirt on Thursdays... yesterday I did.
You see, I thought it'd be nice to look slightly more professional than usual, as I was helping audition people today at work. Alas, it slipped my mind that as I traversed across campus in such attire, I would be pigeonholed with them -- that's right, with the preponderance of EFY kids, who dress up on Thursdays. It may sound harmless, but I assure you it is not. It's bad enough that I'm short and look young. It's even worse that my usual trek (and most efficient route) to and from campus is also theirs, and I often get stuck in between large groups of them piddling along lazily instead of walking at a normal pace. Not screaming EFY chants at the top of my lungs is my only saving grace and distinction, really.
Ok, well I'm mostly kidding here, lest any of you think that this actually ruined my day, but I did have to laugh at myself when I realized the oversight.

Hahaha! Robyn, I can see you..."lay low, blend in, lay low, blend in!"
Great story. :)
I ran into the same problem on Thursday. And admire your poise though--instead of shaking it off and walking with the crowd of EFY kids, I avoided them like the plague.
